"If you want to kill yourself, kill what you don’t like. I had an old self that I killed. You can kill yourself too, but that doesn’t mean you got to stop living."

"You have infused my being
Through and through,
As an intimate friend must
Always do.
So when I speak I speak only of You
And when silent, I yearn for You."

Isn’t love a union between two people or does Eartha fall in love with herself?

"Our culture deliberately socializes women to be taken in. We condition girls (explicitly! Not even covertly!) to believe that if they’re not sexually attractive, they’re nothing. They’re garbage. They might as well not exist. We reinforce, over and over, that their attractiveness has an expiration date, so the only thing they can do is desperately leverage that attractiveness while they can. If they resist that conditioning, we sexualize them against their will, and if they give in to that conditioning—or worse, if they are raped by a predator—we reveal the trap: Now you’re a slut, and it’s your fault. Now you’re tainted. Now you’re worse than nothing. Now you might as well not even cry out when your rapist takes you to the gas station in a wig and sunglasses."

"Once you have identified with some form of negativity, you do not want to let go, and on a deeply unconscious level, you do not want positive change. It would threaten your identity as a depressed, angry, or hard-done by person. You will then ignore, deny, or sabotage the positive in your life. This is a common phenomenon. It is also insane."

"Beware of yourself, when the energy that moves you in life is actually the ego’s energy, but has found a religious form of expression. That’s the most dangerous thing of all"

"The joy of a psychedelic is when you have the balls to go into the darkness and all of a sudden you realize that darkness was a complete illusion. All the darkness and negativity and spooky shit and guilt and fear and crap you thought was inside you, and all the bad things you thought you’ve done, and all the things you feel terrible about secretly…you realize that’s nothing. İt’s an illusion. The universe loves you, you are completely embraced by the entire universe. You are an incremental part of the functioning of the cosmos. You are an incredible, wonderful, perfect fucking thing. And when you get a glimpse of that, it’s the greatest feeling ever. Because you’re healed. Because that’s what true healing is, man. True healing is realizing you were never sick in the first place. True healing is realizing you just had a little bit of dust on the windshield man…you brush it off you know..that’s all, man."

"Almost everyone living in urbanized centers around the world feels intuitively a lack of something in their lives due directly to the creation of an artificial environment from which nature has been excluded to the greatest possible extent."

This is something I’ve been feeling for a long time now. In fact, I am convinced that if I went to live somewhere in the mountains, or maybe on an island, away from society, just eating whatever food nature provides me,   running around freely, bathing in the ocean or a lake and spending a lot of time in the sunshine contemplating the beauty that surrounds me, in a few months my soul would heal from all sadness and my body from all disease.

"There are many ways to calm a negative energy without suppressing or fighting it. You recognize it, you smile to it, and you invite something nicer to come up and replace it; you read some inspiring words, you listen to a piece of beautiful music, you go somewhere in nature, or you do some walking meditation."
